At Black Gold Emergency Planners, we are always watching for regulatory changes that can affect your business.
An article published in the Calgary Herald on June 23, 2015 entitled Alberta Energy Regulator faces changes under NDP as Notley wants to review its mandate by Darcy Henton, outlines many potential changes coming in the near future to Alberta’s energy regulator.
Premier Notley was quoted in the article stating, “One of the concerns that I have always had with the Alberta Energy Regulator is that it appears to have a conflicting mandate, in that it is both a promoter of energy and the primary vehicle of environmental protection in Alberta.”
The biggest potential change that would affect our clients and their Emergency Response Plans is the division of the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER).
Black Gold will stay on top of any upcoming changes and make sure to keep our clients informed and their Emergency Response Plans compliant to all new regulations. Check back on the blog where we will post new changes.
